Home Assistant Installation

Prerequisites: a running Proxmox cluster. We basically follow along this guide from Derek Seaman's Tech Blog to install Home Assistant as virtual machine on the Proxmox cluster.

Installation

Enter the following command to start the HAOS install via the tteck Proxmox script:

bash -c "$(wget -qLO - https://github.com/tteck/Proxmox/raw/main/vm/haos-vm.sh)"

Use the Advanced mode when prompted. At the time of this writing, we installed version 11.0 Stable of HAOS.

Accept the default machine type i440fx. Set the hostname to homeassistant. Allocate 4 CPU cores and 6144 MB of RAM. Select ceph-data as storage pool.

Now in [[Unifi]], assign a static ip.
